Hi ,

One thing we hope you all know about The Ferret by now, is that we don't give up easy.

The outcry about Angus Robertson's meeting with an Israeli ambassador last year may have died down in the mainstream media, but we are still digging to unearth any details the Scottish Government may still be hiding.

Today, we reveal that Robertson sought changes to the official record of the meeting - after the media storm erupted - fearing his call for a Gaza ceasefire was “lost” in the original minutes.

We can report this after the updated, but heavily redacted, notes from the meeting were released to The Ferret after an freedom of information request. We still want to find out exactly what was said, so will keep at it.

You can read the full story below, as well as our in-depth piece into a major Scottish oil-field owner with links to the Gaza conflict.

Yours,

Ali

An in-depth look at a Ferret investigation

On a rain-dampened Saturday in central London last month, a sea of Palestinian flags flowed towards Downing Street.

Thousands marched bearing placards and chanting familiar demands: an end to the bombing and blockade of Gaza, and what they see as the UK Government’s role in enabling the war.

But further up the road, a smaller knot of protesters planted themselves outside a different government building on Whitehall, home to the department for energy.

They unfurled a large black banner that read “Defund genocide. Stop Rosebank”. The link between the horrors in the Middle East and an oilfield 80 miles off Shetland’s coast might not have been obvious to passers-by.
