Hi ,

It's been another bad week for Boris.

(No, you've not fallen into a wormhole and ended up back in early 2022...)

Despite having been crowbarred out of office nearly a year ago, the former prime minister is still dominating headlines as the fallout to his relaxed attitude to Covid-19 restrictions continues.

This time it's allegations he broke lockdown rules by hosting friends at Chequers, the rural prime ministerial pad at the foot of the Chiltern Hills.

No doubt all will be clarified by the two inquiries into his conduct during the pandemic, or by police who have been notified of the most recent allegations.

If one of these goes badly for Boris, however, he may be socially distanced from office in a by-election.
Yours,
Ali
