A week is a long time in politics, goes the old adage, which has been reinforced by recent events. Since our last newsletter we’ve seen allegations and resignations, and the race is now on to
find Boris Johnson’s successor as prime minister. Who will move into Number 10 following some of the most tumultuous years in UK political history?
Johnson’s tenure was controversial to say the least, and so last week we listed ten false statements he made while in
office.
We also reported on a number of important issues locally, from microplastics pollution in Scottish seas to significant data breaches at a local council.
We’re always keen to report on national dramas as well as local issues, and ideas from our readers are of special interest. But aside from pitching to us, you can now send photos too! Please join our online community and share photos under some of the key themes we’re covering.
In the coming weeks we’ll be sharing some challenges and rewards for all the members who join!
Thanks for your ongoing support! With your help, we can continue making journalism that changes things for the better.
