Hi ,

I promised you an update on one of the shadowy projects we've been working on over recent months, and here it is.

Next week, we'll be publishing a series called Who Owns Urban Scotland, in conjunction with The Herald.

Starting on Monday, The Ferret will examine the firms behind our high streets, shopping centres, culture and vital parts of Scotland's infrastructure, as well as those controlling vacant land and derelict properties.

Our journalists have done a lot of work on this project, so we hope it is thought-provoking, and can prompt a discussion on where ownership of our important urban areas should lie.

Yours,
Ali from The Ferret
